Student Research and Project Highlight Posters

Deadline for Submission: May 10, 2024

The National Urban Agriculture Conference promises to be an exceptional gathering where you can present your research, insights, and success stories, all while connecting with urban agriculture professionals who share your passion for sustaining community-based food systems across the U.S. We invite you to submit your abstracts, contribute to the conversation, and help impact the future development of programs to support urban agriculture.

We invite graduate/undergraduate students and organizations that have completed or are engaged in projects related to urban agriculture to submit abstracts of not more than 200 words.

Students in graduate or undergraduate programs who are currently enrolled or earned diplomas in 2024 are invited to present posters related to research projects or studies in urban agriculture. Presentations should be directly related to urban agriculture  that may include, but are not limited to, the following topic suggestions:

  • History of Urban Agriculture
  • Defining Urban Agriculture for the Future
  • Innovations in Urban Agriculture
  • Urban Food Production Systems
  • Food Sovereignty in Urban Food Systems
  • Food Distribution Models
  • Food Security and Food Safety
  • Community Engagement and Impacts for Urban Agriculture

Project highlight posters are designed to allow organizations that support urban agriculture to share details about the planning, challenges, insights, and success of projects that they have recently completed, are actively working on, or are building for the future. As a Project Presenter, we invite you to tell your story and share information that will spark inspiration, foster new ways of thinking about urban agriculture programs, and help fellow attendees find creative ways to advance urban agriculture initiatives in their own communities.

Submission review will begin immediately upon receipt of your submission, and you may receive a response for acceptance or for clarification prior to the abstract deadline.

Accepted posters will be confirmed no later than June 10, 2024, and presenters must register to attend the National Urban Agriculture Conference. At least one author must attend the conference in person.
