In October 2023, the National Urban Agriculture Initiative (NUag) core team pulled together the first 17 pilot cities participating in the National USDA Urban Ag Initiative. This included their urban USDA staff and community-based agreement holders. The attendees enjoyed two days of networking, farm tours, and learning about USDA’s next steps in urban agriculture. They also got a chance to give feedback on current USDA programs and outreach.
