Kendall Rae Johnson visited Tennessee State University’s College of Agriculture (TSUAg) as the second stop on her Youth Ambassador 1890 Tour. Kendall first did a public Q&A session with TSUAg Dean Dr. Chandra Reddy, that was attended by students, faculty, and staff. She then toured their newly renovated research lab, where she tested DNA on plants and was presented with a white coat by TSU researchers. She then explored the innovative greenhouses on the TSU farm.She also met with President Dwayne Tucker and recorded her very own podcast.

Butler Farms Visit

Butler farm is designated a century farm and has history dating back to the emancipation of slavery. James Butler Jr. showed Kendall and team around the Beef farm and while sharing history, photos, and even merch.

Zysis Garden

Bridgett Bryant, started her farm in 2018 and offers quality fruits, vegetables, herbs, and houseplants. Kendall spent some time at Zysis Garden learning about the operation and helping to pick garlic scapes.

4-H of Nashville Davidson

Kendall and kids from the 4-H Nashville had an incredible time where they met at the trampoline park. Kendall spoke about her journey farming and what she plans to do next.
